THE ISLAMIC COMPETITION
Held on the fourth of February in JSS international school was the interschool Islamic competition. Eleven students were chosen and given the tremendous honour of representing our school. The project put forward by them was futuristic and innovative. "A Masjid on Wheels" was the idea of these innovative contestants. The event was indeed inspiring and enlightening. During their time there the students recited surahs from the Holy Quran, were able to witness debate over different aspects and gain inspiration from the other contenders. The competition was diverse and allowed our students to interact with different people. They did not only learn but they were able to gain quite an experience. The Islamic department looks forward to encouraging more students to participate in such events and also hopes to organise and engage in more competitions in the bright future ahead. ‘It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about the experience’ -Ms.Farhana
